Year-round ski arena SNØ opens in Oslo

Norway’s very first year-round arena for ski- and snow experiences has opened. The arena called SNØ is located in Lørenskog, just outside Oslo and opens its doors to the public on 15th January.

SNØ is among the world’s greatest- and only year-round arenas that combine Cross-Country Skiing, Alpine, Snowboarding and Freeski in one place. In addition the facilities include sports shops, restaurants and cafés, a fitness centre and conference facilities wall-to-wall, to make this arena complete.

The area surrounding SNØ is part of the development of Lørenskog Municipality. It is situated only a short walking distance from Lørenskog Railway station and about 15 minutes north of Oslo by car on the main road to Oslo Gardemoen Airport. SNØ is the very heart of this expansive development project being described as one of the most innovative, commercial projects ever undertaken in Norway.
