Double win for Chiara Hoelzl this weekend in Germany

Austrian Chiara Hoelzl won the two competitions of the FIS Women’s World Cup in Oberstdorf (GER) this weekend. As per yesterday, she won ahead of Maren Lundby from Norway. Another teammate, Marita Kramer was also on the podium.

Both leaders performed very well today with an intense competition in the big hill of Audi Arena. With just 2.3 points ahead of Maren with two jumps reaching 127.5 m and 129 m, Chiara Hoelzl took again the yellow bib in the overall World Cup. For her, it was a very close competition and the conditions were rather good, as she definitely prefers rain than snow.

Having problems with her starting position, Maren Lundby made a first jump at only 122.5 m. The second jump was better, «her best this weekend but unfortunately it was the last one» she said, scoring a total of 285.3 points and loosing herewith her yellow bib.

With the longest jump with 137 m in the second run, Austrian Marita Kramer took the third position.
