Την ώρα που η πανδημία του κορονοϊού πλήττει την Ευρώπη, στην Κίνα φαίνεται πως η κατάσταση βαίνει προς εκτόνωση. Εδώ και τρεις ημέρες δεν έχει διαπιστωθεί κανένα εγχώριο κρούσμα, στην χώρα απ΄ όπου ο ιός άρχισε το θανατηφόρο ταξίδι του ανά την υφήλιο, στο τέλος του 2019.

Το κινεζικό πρωτάθλημα μπάσκετ, διεκόπη την 1η Φεβρουαρίου και όπως αναφέρουν τα τοπικά Μέσα Μαζικής Ενημέρωσης, η διοργάνωση θα επαναρχίσει -πιθανότατα- στις 15 Απριλίου. Και δεδομένης της κεντρικής οδηγίας, σύμφωνα με την οποία κάθε ταξιδιώτης που εισέρχεται στην κινεζική επικράτεια θα πρέπει να τεθεί υποχρεωτικά σε 14ήμερη καραντίνα, αρκετοί Αμερικανοί μπασκετμπολίστες, άρχισαν να επιστρέφουν στην αχανή χώρα.
