The Guide Expedition Down Parka is the final result of extensive technical development, superior craftmanship, collaborations with down experts in the USA and fabric developers in Japan, meticulous lab testing, and gruelling real-world experiences. A sophisticated expedition parka that will withstand extensive periods of extreme temperatures on the world’s highest peaks and in desolate arctic regions. It is the most technically complex garment we have ever designed.

This is a 100% box baffled construction parka, filled with responsibly sourced premium 900 fill power goose down that is RDS-certified, blue sign-certified and 100% traceable. The Dermizax®Ultralight 3-layer rip-stop shell fabric is waterproof, windproof, stretchable and very durable. It has an oversized expedition fit with an elongated back piece and an extremely generous hood. At only 930g in size medium, it has an impressive warmth-to-weight-ratio. Very few parkas on the market that can match its performance.

Lining fabric: Water-resistant DWR-treated ultralight rip-stop, 100% nylon, 34g/sqm.

Insulation: 900 fill power DWR-treated goose down. (Synthetic padding in front placket.)

Waterproofness: Main fabric – 20 000 mm. Lining fabric – PFC-free DWR-treated rip-stop. Insulation – DWR-treated water-resistant goose down.

Breathability: Low. This is not a garment for high-pulse activities.

Hood/collar: Fixed hood. Opening adjustable with elastic cord on the inside. Bendable brim of hood. Size of hood adjustable at back with velcro. Double placket, whereof inner placket at collar equipped with 3D spacer mesh to avoid your breathing to condensate and freeze. Outer placket padded with synthetic insulation.

Pockets: Two large zipped chest pockets, two zipped hand pockets, two extra large inner pocket in power mesh.

Zippers: YKK zippers.

Sleeves and cuffs: Pre-bent sleeves. Elastic cuffs.

Bottom hem: Bottom hem adjustable with cord. Drop tail.

Extra features: Stow bag included. Box wall construction to avoid cold spots. Baffles sewn with elastic thread for maximum freedom of movement. Tested in Japanese cold chamber. Both inner and outer placket for protection against cold. Extra big hang loop made of shell fabric.
